Since 1989, JSPS Bangkok Office’s offers several international programs. One of the programs include the RONPAKU (Dissertation PHD) Program, which helps support driven researchers from developing countries (Asia, Africa, or other specified countries) earn a PHD degree from a university in Japan. Thailand is the largest provider with over 750 researchers.
In collaboration with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) is the Joint Research Program, which helps promote and support academic cooperation between highly qualified Japanese and Thai researchers. The continued harmonic relationship between the two countries helps keep this program a continued success.

As we celebrate our 30th year in Thailand, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) will continue to promote scientific exchange and support researchers throughout the region.
