For the Autumn-Winter 2023 collection, the concept is “Exhale: Shout Out Your Wish.” The firm’s collections respond to a modern interpretation of the company’s earliest values: Simplicity, poetry and fluid lines representing freedom. After years of absence, Adolfo Domínguez returned to live shows in 2019, with a new proposal: the shows featured non-professional models, as well as out-of-place catwalks. In 2021, Adolfo Dominguez established a new concept store with open-structured spaces using only natural materials and including artists’ collaborations. Since 2000, Adolfo Domínguez has advocated cruelty-free products, completely abandoning the use of raw materials obtained through animal cruelty. In 2018, Adolfo Domínguez started a new conversation about society’s shopping habits and how it affects the planet that all of humanity shares. Since then, the company has rolled out a series of campaigns inciting customers to “think before they buy” — it’s not about buying more, but about choosing better. The latest installment of the brand’s commitment to a different way of consuming fashion is “Repeat More. Think Less.” People have to grapple with hundreds of decisions each day; what they wear doesn’t have to be one of those hard choices.
