Your stylish ski retreat awaits you
When planning our trip, we sought to make it truly special. We looked to SkiJapan.com, which leverages 25+ years of Hokkaido ski expertise to enhance your stay, for help with our booking. Their custom packages cover accommodation, transfers, tickets, rentals, lessons, and tours. With a seasoned team fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and attuned to the preferences of the Asian traveler, SkiJapan.com stands out in the snow travel industry.
Based on SkiJapan.com’s recommendation, we decided to book our stay at Shinka Niseko.
Architect Katsuya Matsunaga and interior designer Ryo Miyagaki teamed up for the stylish alpine design of Shinka Niseko, with 14 new condos boasting stunning Mt. Yotei views, ski lockers, and basement parking. Moreover, Shinka Niseko enjoys a prime location, just steps away from Hirafu’s main street, ski lifts, dining, and shopping.

Upon reaching SkiJapan.Com HQ on Hirafu’s main street, we received a warm welcome from their international team. Booking with them ensured a stress-free trip. They helped us coordinate our itinerary, despite our group’s varied flight schedules, and arranged a complimentary driver from Hirafu Welcome Centre. Their office’s proximity to Shinka Niseko provided reassurance, and they even went above and beyond by transporting us and our gear to the hotel and assisting with check-in.
Thoughtfully-appointed spaces
Shinka Niseko’s three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment seemed like the perfect spot for our group, and when we arrived and opened the door to our apartment, we were immediately impressed by the gorgeous view of Mt. Yotei from the beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows hugging the open kitchen, dining, and living room area. Its design and feel were beyond our expectations. Picture waking up to stunning vistas from your balcony, sipping hot drinks as you prepare for another day on the slopes. That was us — and it could be you!
The Gaggenau kitchen appliances, gleaming in the fully equipped kitchen, allowed us to prepare and enjoy mouthwatering meals, which was such a nice experience since Hokkaido is known for a lot of fresh seafood and produce. If you know where to go or if you come prepared, this fully equipped kitchen with a wine fridge can help you create some memorable meals.
For supplies, we recommend going to Satsudora Drug Store at Hirafu188, which is nearby and actually has a nice grocery with a much wider selection than the neighboring convenience stores.
Convenience and comfort, in any season
Not only does Shinka Niseko boast exceptional design, it also offers functional amenities for adventures after a day on the slopes. Underfloor heating, free Wi-Fi, and top-notch entertainment systems ensure relaxation at every turn. Free and reliable Wi-Fi also made it convenient for us to stay connected, and the huge TV and great sound system were fantastic for our entertainment. We put on and watched skiing videos that gave us even more motivation to go.
And of course, there’s the comfort of the accommodations. We slept so well in their plush beds and woke up excited to see the snow fall from our balcony, beckoning us to hit the slopes. That view of Mt. Yotei is really amazing; we could just imagine it during the spring and summer, as well, when vivid greens and other colors peek out from beneath the snow-capped slopes. We’d love to come back and experience that, too.
So, whether you’re captivated by the powder-filled winters or planning a springtime retreat to Japan, Shinka Niseko promises an experience that’s a cut above the rest.
