In a written interview, Messe München Co-CEOs Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel said, “Face-to-face meetings are indispensable, especially when it comes to complex technologies that require explanation. Our trade shows bring innovations to life and connect technology providers with decision-makers, users and research partners from around the world. This lays the foundation for long-term international business relationships.”

The world-leading trade shows, such as automatica, Laser World of Photonics, electronica and productronica, cover robotics and automation, photonics and laser technology, electronics manufacturing and the semiconductor industry. With subsidiaries in China, India, Brazil, Singapore, the United States and Turkey, Messe München connects industry players with an ecosystem comprising universities, research institutions and technology companies.

Japanese companies are key drivers of innovation at these trade shows. Among those held in Munich in 2025, Laser World of Photonics and productronica, together with Semicon Europa, attracted the most Japanese exhibitors. The shows that attracted the highest numbers of visitors from Japan were Bauma and Laser World of Photonics. Messe München´s Japan representative provides both exhibitors and visitors with support.

They also said the trade shows provide ideal international platforms for doing this.

This year’s editions of electronica and Semicon Europa will take place in Munich from Nov. 10 to 13, providing access to business partners and technological developments in both fields.

Next year, from June 22 to 25, the world´s leading trade fairs Laser World of Photonics and automatica, held together in Munich, will serve as an international hub for photonics, laser technology, intelligent automation and robotics, unlocking valuable synergies among these key technologies.
