Since entering the German market in 1981, Takeda has established a broad presence. Germany is one of Takeda’s largest markets and hosts manufacturing, as well as commercial and corporate functions.

With manufacturing sites in Oranienburg, just north of Berlin, and Singen in southern Germany, Takeda combines a long industrial tradition with capabilities in manufacturing, innovation and patient care. Two of Takeda’s three latest therapies are to be produced in Oranienburg. Together with functions in Berlin and Konstanz, these activities contribute to Takeda’s operations across its global network.

Takeda remains committed to long-term partnerships with patients, healthcare professionals and society, contributing to better health outcomes, a stronger healthcare system and continued innovation for future generations.

Germany’s strong scientific community, highly qualified workforce and healthcare infrastructure make it a strategically important location for Takeda. The combination of Japanese heritage, Germany’s scientific excellence and a strong local presence contributes to innovation, manufacturing and the reliable supply of medicines for patients worldwide.

Helping patients gain timely access to innovative therapies is a key priority for Takeda. Scientific progress is creating new opportunities to address serious diseases, but innovation can only deliver its full value when patients can benefit from it quickly.

Predictable regulatory frameworks and efficient market access pathways are essential to ensure that innovation reaches patients. Takeda welcomes efforts to strengthen Germany’s position as a leading life sciences and pharmaceutical location.

Continued collaboration among policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers and industry will be critical to ensuring long-term competitiveness and improving patient outcomes.

Healthcare systems around the world share the challenge of ensuring that scientific breakthroughs reach patients worldwide while remaining sustainable. Countries that create the right conditions for innovation are better positioned to attract investment, advance medical progress and improve outcomes for patients.

Takeda remains committed to long-term partnerships with patients, healthcare professionals and society, contributing to better health outcomes, a stronger healthcare system and continued innovation for future generations.
