RichWave Technology, a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) design company specializing in wireless technologies, has become one of the global leaders since its inception in 2004. The company is renowned for supplying RFICs tailored for networking, mobile and smart-home applications. Rich- Wave provides comprehensive RF front-end (RFFE) solutions recognized for excellent performance.
“Our journey began with using silicon germanium for power amplifiers,” shared Shyh-Chyi Wong, founder and president. “Bravely entering the Wi-Fi market during Wi-Fi 4 with silicon germanium established our initial business, customer base and team confidence. It was a great decision to select and use a different material at that time, as it set us apart from our competitors.”
Over the years, RichWave has continued to develop RFICs for Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth and sub-1 GHz products, passive components and total wireless solutions such as analog audio/video, digital audio/ video and radar sensors.
“In 2007, we entered into the FM tuner segment, which became a mainstay in the market, with Samsung as a major customer using it across several generations of flagship mobile phones,” Wong continued.
RichWave Technology emphasizes organic growth and technology- driven service. The company reflects a distinct value system within Taiwan’s semiconductor industry by focusing on a specific subject and developing the best RFFE solutions with combined diversified technology to maximize the impact it has in the industry and in the world.
“We are a unique company in Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, prioritizing impact over economy of scale. For instance, we were among the pioneers in developing Wi-Fi 7 RFFE with superb performance. And we swiftly delivered our product to the market and mass production,” Wong said.
RichWave has cultivated stable customer relationships globally by engaging with major system-on-achip producers and customers in Korea, Europe and the U.S. Notably, RichWave has established strong customer relationships in Japan, spanning the consumer electronics and carrier industries, with plans for further growth in these markets.
Looking ahead, RichWave remains focused on advancing wireless technology and expanding into new application segments like the Internet of Things and automotive.
“Our goal is to leverage our accumulated technology to drive revenue growth and enhance our global presence, ultimately positioning RichWave as a leading technology innovator in the world,” Wong concluded.
