“Our super precision bearing plant is crucial for the machine tool market, where Europe, particularly Germany and Italy, plays a significant global role,” says Dr. Nass. This facility is part of NSK’s extensive European network, which includes three manufacturing plants and 17 locations across EMEA. These operations generate around €700 million annually and employ approximately 3,500 people.
Germany is one of NSK’s largest markets, followed closely by Italy, particularly in the industrial sector. “The Middle East, especially Dubai, is also a key market for us, along with Eastern Europe, which has seen continuous growth over the years,” Dr. Nass notes.
NSK’s product range covers everything from small bearings for household appliances to large wind turbine bearings. With two primary business units—automotive and industrial—NSK is well-equipped to serve a wide array of industries, from super precision applications for machine tools and medical equipment to high performance bearings for cars, high speed trains, wind turbines and industrial gears.
