ASAGAO President, Yumi Yoshida shares her insights on the Poland – Japan partnership:

“The business relationships between Japan and Poland are good. I believe we are still in the building stage; we have around 350 Japanese companies in Poland and the consumer market in Poland has been growing steadily.

There are industries coming from Japan to Poland, and the general sentiment is good. Furthermore, the relationship between Japanese and Polish people is easy and pleasant, which is very important.

Many Japanese people mention that it’s easy to work with Polish people. They work hard and often work late, which, compared to Germany and France, is quite different.

Japanese work hard, and the Polish do as well, which is a good thing. Polish people have respect for Japan as a country, reminiscent of the times when it was seen as a pioneer of technology. They still think of Japan as an advanced society that they wish to emulate in the future.

We want to see increased business cooperation as the relationships between Japan and Poland are positive. I believe we are still in the development phase and the overall perception will continue to be favourable.”
