Vardhman Special Steels Ltd., a key player in India\u2019s steel industry, is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its partnership with Aichi Steel, a significant milestone toward global growth. Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Vardhman Special Steels Sachit Jain has led the company through an era of transformation, driven by a commitment to quality, innovation and long-term relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re part of the Vardhman Group, which was founded in 1965. We\u2019re global leaders in textiles, from yarn to fabric to apparel. We\u2019ve had strong ties with Japanese companies like Marubeni Corp., Teijin, Toyobo and Nisshinbo,\u201d Jain said, highlighting the company\u2019s strong foundation in several sectors and its long-standing relationships with Japanese partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aichi Steel, with its focus on quality, cus\u00adtomer-centric values and long-term growth, proved the perfect fit as a world-class partner to build a competitive special steel business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jain said: \u201cWe first met Aichi Steel in 2011; it took eight years to secure their investment. During those years, I frequently visited Japan \u2026 the Japanese value consistency and trust. They wanted to understand my commitment to the long term.\u201d His efforts to connect per\u00adsonally and professionally, including learning a bit of Japanese, were key to the successful collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aichi Steel\u2019s involvement has been pivotal in enhancing Vardhman\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAichi Steel brought significant exper\u00adtise in safety, quality and process improve\u00adment,\u201d Jain said. \u201cThey\u2019ve helped us elevate our safety standards, implement system\u00adatic problem-solving techniques and opti\u00admize our machinery and processes.\u201d This part\u00adnership has not only improved operational efficiencies, but also opened doors to major Japanese companies like Toyota, Suzuki, Hino and Yamaha, boosting Vardhman\u2019s presence in the global automotive supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving forward, Jain is focused on an ambitious project that will further strengthen Vardhman Special Steels\u2019 position. \u201cWe\u2019re plan\u00adning to establish a greenfield special steel plant in India, leveraging Japanese technology and expertise,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
