The Poland Pavilion, where heritage blends with the future and tradition merges with innovation, owes its uniqueness to art installations inspired by Polish traditions and using contemporary technologies. Inviting exceptional artists to cooperate on the concept has led to the creation of an engaging exhibition which alludes to customs that have formed Polish traditions over the centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magical dimension of the exhibition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Visitors will learn in an original way about local herbs and their role in the context of the theme proposed by the Japanese Expo Organisers \u2013 \u201cSaving Lives\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will experience the variability of the Polish landscape and directly feel the influence of humans on its formation, and even \u201cplay\u201d an unusual instrument based on craftsmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artists, combining contemporary digital technology with traditional materials, create a \u201cmagical\u201d dimension of the exhibition that will provide visitors with a unique experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innovation and balance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Art installations will introduce visitors to the world of current knowledge and breakthrough innovations, bringing them into a zone focused on the future. There, they will find a map of selected sectors of the Polish economy which are promising in the context of economic exchange between Poland and Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presented on the international stage, examples of Polish start-ups and established companies will serve as an example on how to build economies based on sustainability. Their diversity illustrates Polish companies\u2019 responses to such future challenges as food security, access to energy or raw materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking inspiration from natural ecosystems, the curators weave stories about Polish companies that are changing their approach to resource use, relying on a circular economy, as well as about businesses that are using the potential of information technology to transform and improve efficiency in various areas of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solutions developed by Polish companies draw on both the patterns of nature and the power of technology, the latest discoveries and scientific knowledge. Through their interdisciplinarity, both the art installations and the innovative solutions presented at the exhibition not only manifest the Polish spirit of solidarity, but are also evidence of the Polish \u201ccreativity gene\u201d passed down from generation to generation. They show how to balance tradition and today\u2019s advanced technology in a wise and sustainable way, safeguarding the future of humans and the Planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pavilion and exhibition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The space for the presentation of Poland at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, will be a pavilion of nearly 1,000 m\u00b2. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) has invited a wide range of artists to carry out the task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The architectural concept, developed by Alicja Kubicka and Borja Mart\u00ednez of Interplay Architects, is based on the use of wood, and the form of the block is meant to evoke the association with a wave of Polish creativity and innovation spreading beyond the country\u2019s borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concept of the permanent exhibition is the responsibility of the curatorial team consisting of: Monika Brauntsch \u2013 KAFTI, Ewa Kierklo and Stanis\u0142aw Kempa \u2013 GDYBY, and Wies\u0142aw Bartkowski. It was created in cooperation with male and female creators, as well as male and female experts in various fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) is responsible for the implementation of Poland\u2019s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology as the supervising institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
