Bridges<\/strong>: How do you see the trade relationship between Japan and the Netherlands developing in the coming years, and what opportunities do you see for both countries to expand their trade cooperation?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

de Kemp-Everts<\/strong>: The trade relation between Japan and the Netherlands has existed already for more than 400 years. The relation between the countries is close and I think this will grow further in the coming years. It is important we stay in close contact with each other and share our thoughts, risks and opportunities<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What industries or sectors do you see showing the most promising growth potential for Dutch-Japanese collaboration, and why?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We see growth in companies focusing on renewable energy and energy transition. This focus will get stronger than we expect. Besides that we also see more and more Japanese companies active in M&A in the Netherlands. Because Japan is accepted as a valuable and highly reliable partner this development will get stronger for the benefit of both countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trade relation between Japan and the Netherlands has existed already for more than 400 years. Are there any emerging trends or innovations in the Dutch and Japanese business landscapes that you believe will have a significant impact on trade between the two countries in the coming years?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As already said, the trends in the field of renewable energy and energy transitions are getting more and more important. Also the innovation of agrifood topics are highly appreciated by the Japanese companies. The Wageningen University, focusing on these innovations, is quite famous in Japan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you tell us more about DUJAT\u2019s planned trip to Japan this year? Key objectives and highlights would be highly appreciated.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The DUJAT trip to Japan opens a window for the members of Dujat for an inside view inside Japanese companies. The trip contains company visits, 3 seminars in Tokyo (update, agrifood and tax) and receptions for our important relations in the Kansai area and in Tokyo (at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
