Both gentlemen have ancestral lineages and shared history and came together to create a unique Irish whiskey with a difference. This collaboration between Camus and the Baring Revelstoke Trust is inspired by and named after the island of Lambay, Ireland, a private wildlife sanctuary owned by the Baring Family since 1904.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lambay Irish Whiskey Designated Activity Company was set up on Wednesday the 8th of February 2017 and is a separate business unit that belongs to the Camus Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headed by Managing Director, Jean-David Costerg the company is also a member of IBEC, the Irish Whiskey Association and the Irish Spirits Association. LIWC currently trades in over 30 markets and has received to date over 30 Whiskey Awards from the Spirits Industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lambay Irish Whiskey is a combination of centuries-old Irish whiskey-making expertise and five generations of French cognac blending and maturation expertise. Currently sourcing liquid from independent distilleries in Ireland, LIWC is ultimately a blending and bottling company with the ambition to have a micro-distillery on Lambay Island by 2025. A craft whiskey focused on the impact of maritime maturation on casks, the island hosts a bonded warehouse called the Sea Cask room, and water from Lambay island\u2019s Trinity Well is used in the finish of the whiskey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lambay Whiskey Single Malt – Batch 01 is the initial step in this new journey of taste, the first batch of the series, limited to 10,000 bottles. Lambay Whiskey Single Malt -Batch 01 is no ordinary single malt. It\u2019s a journey of taste. The first release from our Reserve Cask Series, a rich triple-distilled single malt, matured in bourbon barrels and finished in Lambay Whiskeys signature style of French Camus cognac casks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Batch 01 contains a higher percentage of island matured Lambay Single Malt delivering a more intense salty note. This Single Malt consists of both first-fill and second-fill cognac cask finishing creating a more intense mouthfeel of spice, tobacco, and pepper on the palette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
