With a wealth of experience in integrated power distribution solutions and infrastructure planning, RWE Renewables is already a step ahead of the competition, and pushing forward with a number of innovative firsts across the industry. All the fundamentals are pointing toward the use of offshore wind farms to meet Japan\u2019s future energy-supply requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, RWE Renewables signed a joint bidding agreement with Kyuden Mirai Energy to develop offshore wind farm projects off the coast of Yurihonjo, Akita Prefecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August, the company also signed an agreement with Kansai Electric Power \u2014 already a partner in its Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm \u2014 to study the feasibility of installing a large floating offshore wind project in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
