HCMUT established the School of Industrial Manage\u00adment in 1992 and introduced high-demand disciplines, in\u00adcluding environmental engi\u00adneering and biotechnology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pioneering the creation of en\u00adtrepreneurship and innovation centers in Vietnam, HCMUT continues to develop strong connections among multiple engineering disciplines, tech\u00adnology and the business sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HCMUT aims to be Vietnam\u2019s most international university in the next five years. Programs are now being taught in English and more foreign professors are enhancing the skills of Viet\u00adnamese youth and attracting international students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJapan is an important partner for Vietnam\u2019s education system. The opportunity to increase collaboration with our many Japanese university and indus\u00adtry partners is massive,\u201d said Mai Thanh Phong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HCMUT recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Hitachi Systems Vietnam Ltd. to develop the university\u2019s Digital Industry Laboratory in efforts to support Vietnam\u2019s acceleration toward \u201cIndustry 4.0.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from providing intern\u00adships, scholarships and grants, Japanese companies are recruit\u00ading more students from Viet\u00adnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of HCMUT\u2019s faculty members received their doctor\u00adates in Japan, while many of its students are learning Japanese and other soft skills related to the Japanese labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
